When your company doesn't fit an off-the-shelf solution

Custom Enterprise Software and Information Systems

Every company has processes that set it apart from everyone else. When a standard ERP, CRM, or a pile of spreadsheets can't cover them well, we build enterprise software around how you actually work. From a single internal tool through a CRM or middleware, up to a complex information system that becomes the backbone of your daily operations.

When custom enterprise software makes sense

Your company has outgrown spreadsheets and manual processes

Information lives in Excel, emails, and specific people's heads. Data gets re-typed between systems, and a simple task takes several manual steps.

A standard (off-the-shelf) ERP or CRM doesn't cover our processes

Off-the-shelf software handles common scenarios well. But if the specific process is exactly what gives you a competitive edge, bending your company to fit the tool rarely makes sense – and adapting off-the-shelf software is usually slow and expensive.

We have several systems that don't talk to each other

ERP, CRM, your e-shop, accounting, warehouse systems, and other applications may all work fine on their own, but together they create manual work and inconsistent data. We help turn them into one working whole.

We need a system that can grow with us

Today's requirement might be only the first module. That's why we design the architecture so the solution can be extended gradually, without starting over with every change.

The enterprise software we build

Enterprise information systems

Complex systems that connect a company's key data and processes into one environment for day-to-day operation.

Custom ERP and operational systems

Software for specific company processes that a standard ERP doesn't cover well enough – or custom applications that complement an existing ERP.

CRM and sales-team systems

Customer and sales process management solutions designed around how salespeople, management, and other users actually work.

Back-office and workflow applications

Digitizing approvals, records, administrative processes, and other activities that today run manually or across several unrelated tools.

Middleware and system integrations

Connecting ERP, CRM, e-commerce, and other applications. Data flows automatically where it needs to go, and each system keeps doing what it's good at.

Client and partner portals

An enterprise system doesn't have to stop at your company's walls. We can securely expose part of your data and processes to customers, suppliers, or partners through a web application.

Custom software, or an existing solution?

Not every company needs custom software. And if an existing product solves your problem well, building a pricier copy of it rarely makes sense.

Custom development starts to make sense once:

  • your process is specific enough that it barely fits a standard tool
  • manual workarounds for an existing system's limits are getting more expensive than a custom solution
  • you need to connect several systems into one working whole
  • the software directly affects the quality or efficiency of your business
  • you want more control over a key part of your technology stack

So we first work out whether custom software makes economic and operational sense at all. Only then how to build it.

An enterprise system doesn't start with a database. It starts with a process.

01

We learn how your company actually works

We talk to management and to future users alike. We map the processes, systems, data, and the places where most of the work or the problems happen today.

02

We design the future state

We don't blindly automate the current process. First we look at whether it can be simplified. Only then do we design the workflow, the user interface, and the individual parts of the system.

03

We design the application architecture and integrations

We determine what the new software should handle, what stays in existing systems, and how the individual parts will talk to each other.

04

We start with the most important part

A complex information system doesn't have to be built all at once. We prefer incremental delivery – the first module or MVP brings value sooner and tests our assumptions in practice.

05

We grow the system together with your company

Enterprise software isn't a one-off website. As processes, regulations, customers, or the company itself change, its information system has to change too. That's why we provide clients with long-term development, operations, and an SLA.

We connect new software with what you already have

A new enterprise information system doesn't have to mean replacing everything else.

Using APIs and integration layers, we connect custom applications with existing ERP, CRM, e-commerce, accounting systems, data warehouses, and other services.

Sometimes it's best to build the whole system. Other times it's enough to build the missing layer between systems that already work in your company.

An enterprise application can become the backbone of a company

A complete ERP for rental property management that we built together over the years – client and property management, contracts and finance, automation and a client portal. Later we modernized the whole system without interrupting operations.

And sometimes you don't need a new system at all

Sometimes the problem isn't the ERP itself. What's missing is just a layer that lets enterprise systems communicate securely while preserving the flexibility of each part of the business.

Turnkey project, a long-term team, or modernization?

Building a new system? → Turnkey project development

Have your own IT and need capacity? → Team on demand

Have a key enterprise system that technology has outgrown? → Legacy system modernization

Need to first figure out what to build? → Software analysis and application architecture

Frequently asked questions

Enterprise software is an umbrella term for applications that support a company's operation and its key processes. It includes things like ERP, CRM, operational systems, workflow applications, client portals, and other enterprise information systems.

An ERP typically connects a company's key processes and data across the whole organization. A CRM focuses mainly on customers, sales, and related activities. An information system is a broader term and can cover practically any combination of business processes. In practice, though, the label doesn't matter much. What matters is that the software fits what your company actually needs.

Yes, when there's a good reason for a custom solution. It doesn't make sense to build a copy of a standard ERP if an existing solution already meets your needs. A custom ERP, or part of one, makes sense mainly where your processes are specific or represent an important competitive edge.

We're not a classic implementer of a specific off-the-shelf CRM. But we can design and build a custom CRM system, modernize an existing solution, or build an application that complements a CRM and integrates it with other systems.

Often not. We first find out which parts of your current solution work well. We can then build new software only where it will actually add value, and connect it to the rest of your infrastructure through integrations.

Yes. Enterprise system integrations are one of the areas we've focused on for a long time. We can connect a new application to internal systems and external services alike, through an API or an integration layer – middleware.

Yes, and for larger information systems it's often the best way to go. Instead of a multi-year project with nothing in production, we look for the highest-value part that can be deployed first, and build from there.
