What was our goal
Our goal was to customize e-commerce solutions for the transition to the new LKQ Group ERP system in Switzerland. In collaboration with the ERP solution integrator, our mission was to ensure a seamless migration to the new EOS platform.
Why us?
Following the successful implementation of e-commerce solutions in the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) region, we were selected as the new supplier of these solutions for another member of the LKQ family: Rhiag Group Ltd.
How we proceeded
We faced new challenges. This time, it was mainly about integrating with other software within a strict schedule that did not allow for any delays, while coordinating with a team of approximately 130 people ensuring the integration. Technically, the project required a complete overhaul of the database and backend layers of the e-commerce application and integration with new environments together with the integrator. In parallel with replacing the ERP system, we also reworked related functions and added new functionalities according to local specifications.
We made numerous trips to meet with the client in Amsterdam and Milan, along with even more synchronization video calls. Everything culminated on the first weekend of February, followed by the GoLive of the entire project and the switch to production environments. While the goal is often to create a wow effect for customers, this time, the primary goal was to ensure that end customers did not notice any difference. Everything needed to function just as fast, efficiently, and reliably as before the transition. Nevertheless, for the LKQ group, this was a significant step towards a more efficient digital future. Even a year after the launch of the new system, the GoLive in Switzerland remains a resounding success.
